How long does caviar last?

Because fresh caviar is refined with salt, its shelf life is also extended. Vacuum-packed, caviar red can be kept for up to eight weeks. If it is additionally pasteurized, the shelf life increases to three months. Opened in the coldest part of the refrigerator in the zero-degree zone, it can be kept for a maximum of three days. The temperature must never fall below -4 degrees Celsius, as consistency and taste change in this case. Freezing should also be avoided at all costs: if done unprofessionally, it can damage the structure of red caviar.

What goes best with the red caviar?

According to nutritionists, caviar and fragrant herbs such as dill, parsley, and basil are ideal combinations. Salad leaves and arugula are also suitable. These products contain vegetable enzymes that promote the breakdown of the most useful fats in caviar. Salmon caviar is perfectly combined with light quark, sour cream, and eggs. 

With its unique, sweet-salty taste, red caviar can be an excellent addition to many dishes. It can also be combined with various drinks.
